Trastorno de conducta alimentaria durante la pandemia del SARS-CoV-2

Resumen

Los pacientes con trastorno de conducta alimentaria (TCA) constituyen una población vulnerable en el contexto de la pandemia por COVID-19. Algunos estudios describen su efecto negativo en los pacientes y sus cuidadores. El presente artículo efectúa una revisión narrativa del impacto de la pandemia en este tipo de pacientes. Se identifican síntomas depresivos, ansiosos, riesgo de autoagresiones y suicidio. La intervención y el manejo tempranos de pacientes con TCA es un gran desafío para la continuidad de tratamiento, detección de comorbilidades y prevención de recaídas.
